2Care
was founded in 1929 as the SOS Society to provide shelter for the
homeless during the great Depression. Over the years our work has
changed to meet demand and today we provide high quality, specialist,
support and care.
We are able to offer a range of rehabilitation services for adults
who have experienced mental illness and specialist, person-centred
care for older people with high mental and physical support needs.
2Care operates services nationwide. Five projects offer mental
health care and Parkview House is a specialist provider of dementia
care. All our services are registered under the Care Standards Act
2000
Care and support is provided within a model of care framework at
all the services:
- Model of Care for Psychiatric Rehabilitation.
- Model of Care for Older People with Dementia.
The
underpinning theme behind both models is a person centred approach,
supporting people to live more independently, whilst working with
them to improve the quality of their lives.
2Care is a 'first choice' provider of safe and sound and supportive
services. Our strong models of care and values system underpin all
aspects of service provision.
2Care works with a range of service users including people with
complex care needs.

Quality
2Care actively strives to provide the highest possible care for
service users. In order to reach our goals we have advisory groups
and quality programmes.
2Care's
Quality Management system has not only been devised to meet the
requirements of ISO 9001/2000 but has been designed to provide a
comprehensive, clear system comprising high quality, user friendly,
procedures and guidance covering all areas of our work.
The Quality Management system provides a framework in which 2Care
can actively demonstrate how we:
- Provide a consistent service which meets service user needs,
as well as applicable regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Address service user satisfaction, and use the information obtained
proactively to shape the service for the future and demonstrate
continuous improvement.
Full training is provided for all staff and regular audits of all
procedures take place as part of the internal Quality Audit Programme
by 2Care's Quality Department.
Service User Satisfaction
Actively seeking and listening to feedback from service users
and their families ensures that 2Care provides services which
are both helpful and valued. 2Care's Service User Satisfaction
Surveys seek views across a broad range of significant areas
including: support, staff, buildings and environment and service
user involvement.
